Falklands War

Falkland Islands, 1982

Argentines, who haven't fought in
a real war about a hundred years or more,
conquered the Falkland Islands. The British,
who had some of the best soldiers in the
world practiced real war regularly, took
them back. Argentines got a few small parts
here and there. Both sides lost good people.
Argentines lost more.

Local voter opinion :
"Of course I voted to stay
British - I do not know Spanish”.
