The Bell Jar

Sylvia Plath, 1963

It's a book about Esther that works
a summer internship. when she returns
home she swirls down the hill trying
to kill herself. She is placed in the asylum
and from there she does a slow recovery
which she didn't even notice.

Internship historical moment:
"The word slave is so humiliating
we will call you an intern".
